F.L. Wright often paraphrased Lu Tse ” the reality of the house consists not of the roof an walls but of the spaces to be lived within”. His interiors and his architecture where synonymous. In the best of his work the interiors flowed seamlessly with the landscape, becoming “organic architecture”. He recommended that a house be of the hill not on the hill. Wright took Lu Tse one step further down the path to perfection. Within his greatest spaces one becomes part of the scenery a harmonious integration of man in his natural and made environment.
